Re: EARLY NEIGHBORHOOD NOTIFICATION MEETING

Dear Neighbor;

In accordance with the requirements of the City of Santa Fe’s Early Neighborhood Notification ordinance, this is to inform you that a meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 5:30 p.m., at 519 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe NM.

ENN Project Description
Commercial Renovation and Addition
515 and 519 Cerrillos Rd

We propose to renovate and construct additions to the existing buildings and construct one new building at 515 and 519 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe NM.

Orientation/Location – The new building will be located at the north west corner of the project site and be oriented towards the north and south. The existing buildings will maintain their current locations and orientations. The addition to 515 will be at the northeast section and will orient towards Cerrillos Rd. the addition to 519 will be to the east and will be oriented to the north.

Height – The existing buildings are stated by the city to be 23.6’ at 515 and 26.6’ at 519. The renovations, additions and the new building will not be taller than code allows.

Drainage – The project will meet all applicable codes for drainage. We hope to build underground cistern storage for rain water harvesting and irrigation re-use.

Parking – Current plans envision a two tiered parking structure along with some on grade parking. This project will meet all applicable codes for required parking.

The Early Neighborhood Notification ordinance provides for an exchange of information between prospective applicants for development projects and the people who will be neighbors to the project.

Attached, please find a vicinity map and proposed site plan. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Mitch Davenport at 505-474-3600.

Sincerely,

Mitch Davenport

At the meeting, preliminary sketches were shown, and here are a few points I remember:

Timetable: more detailed drawings will be prepared for presentation to the City in May. Total construction time is estimated to be two years.

In the meantime, the Warehouse 21 kids, who are currently homeless while their own building in the railyard is under construction, will be allowed to use the space.
