This drawing (from engineering) shows the intersection of Don Cubero and Camino del los Marquez. The
condos are off the bottom of the drawing. The drawing roughly reflects
what was agreed on with John Nitzel, DDNA (represented by Hubert van Hecke), and the developers
of the condos. The idea was to take away some road space from the south side of the street and
build substantial bulbouts, so that landscaping could be planted there to cover up the butt-ugly
north facades of the condos. There is also a pedestrian crossing, marked up in yellow.
The bulbout on the right (marked by the red A) is too short to allow much landscaping to cover
the north wall (the condo extends further to the right. If modifications are considered, this bulbout
should extend to the end of the condo wall.
On the left, the bulbout extends a bit further for the same reason. In addition, the design should be
discussed witht he traffic calming division, since the intersection with Don DIego is close, and is being
redesigned.
