Example: current intersection of Diego and Marquez

This is the layout of the intersection of Don Diego and Camino de los Marquez. Alfalfa's is to the top left, Osco to the top right. (I made this drawing for an earlier proposal, where North was to the bottom) The curb-to-curb distances, 35 -39', are very large - quite a challenge for children or for not-so-fleetfooted pedestrians. It is currently a 4-way stop intersection. Because of the large widths, approach speeds to the intersection are large, typically exceeding the 25 mph speed limit. The pedestrian crossins are not marked on the street.
